Recently I’ve had the chance to visit some of the great theme parks in Southern California. One thing I found is that you can enter into the world of many favorite animated cartoon characters if you enjoy that sort of thing.
The first place we think of is Disneyland, the hangout for Mickey, Donald and all their buddies. Your trip to Disneyland will be better if you do a little research at one of several great websites. Disney has no-doubt done the most effective job of bringing imaginary characters to life, much to the delight of us all.
Knott’s Berry Farm is not far from Disneyland, and you can continue your movie star hunt by visiting Snoopy and the rest of the Peanuts clan. Knott’s has done a nice job of absorbing Charlie Brown, his faithful pet and their friends into their culture.
Your next stop would be Universal Studios Hollywood and the many TV and movie stars such as Betty Boop, the Hulk, Batman and Spiderman, joined most recently by Homer Simpson and his wonderful family. You can find some good details about Universal Studios Hollywood from the SoCal Vacation Guru.
Lastly, we drive up north a ways and stop at Six Flags Magic Mountain. The features that set this park apart from many others are the Six Flags roller coasters and thrill rides. As soon as you get inside, you realize that the place is run by the Looney Tunes characters from the Warner Brothers cartoons.
Porky is there, along with Daffy, Yosemite Sam, Tweety and the others. The childrens’ area has attractions centered around these whacky celebrities, which is a nice break from the thrill rides that dominate the place. The characters are very charming and are pretty easy to find around the mountain.
